Doug Chapman, a Bachelor of Education (Primary) student studying at the Gold Coast campus, recently participated in a teaching exchange in China where he was able to complete his Certificate in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages).

Having completed previous exchanges throughout Asia, Doug was ready to handle the culture shock often experienced when travelling to a new country. What he wasn’t ready for was the challenge that lay ahead when he arrived at the school. Walking into an empty ballet room with no facilities, let alone pencils and paper, was a shock for Doug.
